Flexible working

Due to the array of opportunities, you could work full time, part time and as bank staff. Whilst there are some roles which require specific hours, there are many which do not. It’s a great option whether you’re a student, parent or carer yourself.

There are many organisations to work in

You can work in care as a home care worker, dom care worker, residential support worker, respite care worker, care manager and more. You could also work for organisations who work specifically with children or adults or you could join an organisation who supports all ages. What’s more there are several opportunities to progress in your care career. From being a senior or team leader to a care manager or regional manager.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications 

Whilst you may not require to have any qualifications for some roles, you can gain several qualifications on the job. For example, a care worker could work towards a team leader qualification or become a deputy manager to care manager.

No day is the same 

Though you may carry our similar roles day to day, no day is the same. When working in care, you gain the opportunity to support, assist, care for another individual or group of people. They may have good days, bad days and rollercoaster days. If you like a challenge, this role can be a good fit for you.
