Our moving and handling awareness course looks into the key principles of moving and handling manoeuvres. Additionally, it supports staff to gain an understanding of unsafe practices and how to look after your back.

In addition to the above content, our Moving and Handling Awareness course will answer questions such as:
- How often does a hoist need to be inspected?
- How many checks need to be completed on a hoist?
- Does it always need to be 2 people?
Who is this course for?
Our Moving and Handling Awareness training is suitable for experienced staff and those new to care.
How long is the training session?
We advise for half a day of training for this course. Though we can provide a bespoke full day session. Alternatively, we can also combine two courses over one day.
How many staff can attend?
We typically have no more than 12 learners join us for this course. However, we can provide two sessions to staff teams over one day.
When will I receive my certificates?
Certificates are sent on receipt of payment. They are sent electronically to the individual who made the booking, unless instructed. Certificates are valid for 1 year, unless otherwise stated.
